Fun College Crafts

All throughout college I had always had a particular vision for senior year. However, 2020 had a different motive. There’s a lot more time indoors with online classes. My roommates and I knew we would need to get creative to stay busy. So for the first couple of weeks we would grab a glass of wine and craft. Some of these are basic but just wanted to give some ideas if you and your roomies are going stir crazy being indoors. It doesn’t even matter what the craft is but the quality time spent together. :’)

 1. Booze Hats:

This has been a trend that I have seen everywhere!! You pick your favorite alcohol, grab a cowgirl hat and go off with glitter. We had too much fun making these and have worn them more then we would like to admit. Something fun to do when your bored or feel the need to craft!!!

For mine I chose Tito’s! I knew I could not hand paint the logo so I printed out the image and mod podged over it.

**If you end up doing this I would not recommend buying felt hats like we did. Definitely takes about 20 coats of paint in order to make sure its not splotchy

Also check out the dollar store because they have so many great accessories for the hats!

2. DIY Drinking Card Game:

So in our free time we have been playing card games and turning them into drinking games. My roommate Anna had the idea to make our own card game. I ordered a pack of cards from amazon for only $2. Since there are 4 of us we each got a suit and decorated them. It’s fun to target certain people….. like for example… tallest person drinks. This was so so fun and I highly recommend because it is so easy and cheap!!

Here’s some of our cards for some inspo!!

3. Take that L Jar:

One of my friends had a similar jar at their house which inspired us to create our own. I truly feel we take more losses than wins so we thought it would be funny to make this. Whenever you take an L you have to add coins to the jar. It’s gonna fill up fast.

Here’s our list to help give some ideas!!

4. Memory Jar:

I knew we also needed a jar to add some positivity in the house. Over quarantine I made a positivity jar for my family to put all of our favorite memories in. Whenever we would get sad or discouraged we would read them all together. The memories were as simple as making banana bread and watching Twilight. So now we have our jar to look back on our senior year. My goal is to laminate and scrapbook them at the end of the year!
