Holiday Trader Joe’s Grocery List

So for 11 months out of the year I am consistent with my gluten and dairy free diet buttttt when its the holidays there no limitations. I have to live a little and also it’s the time of year with the absolute BEST food. The energy of December is truly unmatchable. Trader Joe’s has every holiday snack or treat you can think of and I wanted to share some of my favorites. Food is better when everything is peppermint flavored!!

1.Candy Cane Chocolate Covered Almonds:

These are my new favorite holiday treat! I’ve always loved chocolate covered almonds but the candy cane covered are so much better. These are perfect for a snack, an appetizer or a meal. I put mine in the freezer and they were amazing!! I cant emphasize how good these are, but lets just say I could go through a container or two in one sitting…. good thing New Years is around the corner;)

2. Almond Nog:

So every year since I was little I try to drink egg nog and actually “like” it. Normally I take a couple sips and ditch my cup because it makes my stomach turn. I always chalk it up to the fact that I like the idea of it rather than the taste. However, I have never tried a dairy free version until now and I can actually say I like egg nog…. which is huge. This almond nog is so much lighter than regular eggnog and didn’t make me ill after one sip! If you can never stomach egg nog I would give this one a try!!

3. Non-Dairy Mint & Chip Bon Bons:

So I had to find at least one holiday dairy free treat! Honestly I loved these but warning you have to like coconut! They definitely have a strong aftertaste of coconut but they are a great dairy free treat for the holidays!

4. Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s Ice Cream:

Honestly not much to explain just absolutely amazing! This is going to be in my freezer the entire month of December because it truly is that good!!

5. Gluten Free Candy Cane Joe Joe’s:

I was so happy when I found out they have a gluten free version of the Candy Cane Joe Joe’s!! These are literally peppermint Oreos, not dairy free but so so good!

6. Multi Flavor Joe Joes:

Chocolate covered Joe Joe’s…. these are absolutely huge for the program. Honestly I cant decide if I like the Candy Cane Joe Joe’s or these so I will continue to buy both the rest of December!

7. Holiday Ornaments:

I thought these were perfect for decorating (and eating obviously). Sometimes it can be so stressful trying to actually bake the cookies, at least for me, so having these blank ornament to decorate is ideal. 

8. Chocolate Covered Pretzel Twists:

I am obsessed with chocolate covered pretzels but I swear I only eat them during the holidays. They are so good but I never think to buy them throughout the year. I love sprinkles so these pretzels are perfect because they are covered with three different types. Beware these do go by very fast with only 12 pretzels.

9. Cookie Mug Hangers:

I wanted to include these because they are so cute! Perfect to put on your mug of hot cocoa, tea or coffee. Adds a little holiday spice to any warm drink:)

I hope you cruise through Trader Joe’s and try at least one of these to get into the holiday spirit! Also keep in mind to smile and be kind while shopping. It is also holidays for the workers so sometimes being a little extra kind can go a long way.
